The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) regrets to inform you that the 2013 Joint Forces Pharmacy Seminar (JFPS) in Orlando, October 20-23, 2013 is cancelled. The cancellation is a direct result of the federal government shutdown and related circumstances beyond our control. The travel restrictions associated with the shutdown directly prevent our primary audience of Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard pharmacy personnel, speakers and leadership from attending.
However, please note that all APhA Certificate Training Programs and related Faculty Training Programs scheduled to occur in Orlando will continue to take place, as these have no relation to the shutdown.
We recognize the importance of this meeting for all those involved. JFPS has a proud and successful history. This cancellation will have an impact on many stakeholders and we will work closely with our attendees, exhibitors, corporate supporters and others involved to resolve administrative details.
APhA will provide further information to those directly affected in the coming days.
We thank you for your continued support of APhA and JFPS, and appreciate your understanding during this difficult situation. We look forward to next year's meeting in Portland, Oregon.
Registration and Housing
All registrations will be cancelled and refunds provided for those who paid by check. Credit cards have not yet been charged, so no further action is required.
If you need to cancel a hotel reservation made through the official housing company, you must provide a written cancellation request to Expovision at email@example.com. The hotel cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to arrival. Hotel rooms are not automatically cancelled as some individuals will be traveling to Orlando for non-JFPS programs.
